I DO NOT reccommend this place. I was turned away because I have a diabetic alert dog, SERVICE DOG, the owner would not allow us to stay without paperwork. I explained the American disability act laws, "Staff cannot ask about the person’s disability, require medical documentation, require a special identification card or training documentation for the dog, or ask that the dog demonstrate its ability to perform the work or task." he plainly stated that he did not believe me. He has been turned into the ADA for refusing us service.

Stayed here 1 night because we decided to extend our stay in bar harbor. It was pretty cheap so I wasn't expecting much, but I was pleasantly surprised! It was so clean! It had a kitchen with a full size fridge and freezer, stove, and oven (which were spotless) and the kitchen was stocked with pots, pans, utensils, plates...everything! The sheets and towels smelled good and were clean, the people in the office were nice...the property was neat...and there were donuts and coffee in the morning. It was fantastic for under $100. I would definitely recommend it!

We booked a cheap room for our trip to Acadia. Room was basic as expected for the price. All was fine until after checking out and later in the day i had 19 red welts all over my body, including two on my face. I suspect an advanced bed bug infestation (room 22). I know I didnt get bitten outside because i even had bites in between my toes and the entire time i was outside I was wearing socks and shoes. Bites are in clusters—a telltale sign. Not recommended... beware

For the price I was very impressed! Easy friendly check in and nice clean cabin. I will definitely be staying again. Not super modern which suits me fine. Loved the nice little porch.

Booked a two bedroom cottage and was underwhelmed by many things. First, the front door has small cracks in it and lights can be seen through it. Second, there were no doors to the rooms, absolutely defeating the purpose of getting two rooms. Third, the bathroom is intended for people on the smaller side, the shower barely has room to turn around in and the area for the toilet was even smaller. While my girlfriend was able to wipe while sitting, I had to stand up and turn around to create enough space to wipe. Fourth, the bed was slightly better than a prison mattress, but not by much. Fifth, the walls are paper thin, you can hear not only between the rooms, but also everything going on outside of the room, including every single vehicle that passes on the road. And lastly, the heater is either on or off, there is no temperature control. All of that aside, the location was convenient to the National Park & there is a nice gas station directly across the street. Also, the room was clean and tidy upon arrival.
